"Always Ours" Custom Song for Prince William & Kate Middleton

I love to write love songs for special occasions; like weddings, anniversaries, etc.

Writing a love song for Prince William & Kate Middleton in honor of their wedding in April 2011 was a fun exercise and has brought me a lot of sweet comments and praise from British Royal Couple fans.

Welcome 2011 and thank you to all of you who were amazingly supportive and encouraging throughout 2010. It was an incredible year for me. I left Corporate America, I reached my $15,000 album fundraiser goal, and we damn near finished this album that we're about to release!

It's been an amazing journey. And in so many ways, it's just beginning for me. Thanks for being along for the ride.

Played the John Street Jam in Saugerties NY last night and LOVED IT! Full house, very attentive audience, two sets of singer/songwriters (some as duos) made for a wonderful night of music to remember. HUGE thanks to hosts Steve & Terri....and their stand-in hosts Bruce & Jeanne....all my co-performers and the couple at brunch today at Cafe Mezzaluna who recognized me from the show and showered me with compliments! (Theresa, right? Thank you!)

And I really loved Saugerties. I need to spend more time there and plan to ASAP.

So Grateful

If you're not on my mailing list yet, you may not know the story of my album fundraiser. The full year it took to reach my $15,000 goal. The ups, the downs, the sits and spins, the tremendous leaps forward and the unending support and cheers from my fans, family and friends.

It was an incredible experience and, yes, that $15,000 goal was just finally reached last month, in August 2010, due to one final unbelievably generous donor who took it upon herself to give me the last $7,000 (yes, SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS) I needed to finish my album.

But it took every single dollar from every single wonderfully generous donor to get here. Every $15 donation meant as much to me as those who were able to give more.

There is no way to fully describe how blessed and grateful I feel, and have felt during the entire fundraising process, for the dream-building help you all gave. I am forever thankful. I will never forget it. I will pay it forward someday.

I'll be writing in more detail about my fundraiser in a new article for my song column called "SONG is a Four-Letter Word" over at www.musesmuse.com. Watch for that new column post by next week.

As for the ALBUM, "No More Invitations", we're madly (and so very happily) working to finish her up now that we have the funds to make it happen! Recording is almost done! I can hardly believe that and it feels amazing to be this close to the finish line.
